114. Embodying Your Next Level Through Aligned Identity Evolution

There’s something magical about the feeling of a “new year”, whether it’s my birthday, a fresh business quarter, or simply a moment where I realize I’m ready for something more. As I share on the *Design and Align Your Business Podcast*, I’m stepping into a powerful new chapter right around my birthday and diving deep into the importance of conscious identity evolution, especially as an entrepreneur.

Embracing My Identity Evolution

Right now, I’m experiencing a major shift, not just in my business, but in who I am. For me, identity evolution is a conscious decision to embody the highest version of myself: the leader, the visionary, the version of me that takes up space unapologetically. I’ve realized that my most unique gifts are often the ones I’ve hidden or downplayed for fear of standing out or being “too much.”

Recognizing my need for evolution has been pivotal. Without it, I risk getting stuck in old patterns, showing up the way I always have, even if it no longer serves me. I’ve seen this both in my corporate days and as an entrepreneur: whether I’m ready for a promotion, a business pivot, or simply to play bigger, it’s not about rejecting who I was, but consciously choosing to step into who I am becoming.

The Practical Ways I Anchor My New Identity

Getting real for a moment, claiming a new identity isn’t always comfortable. It brings up vulnerability, resistance, and old stories. Here are some rituals and practices that have helped me support my own identity evolution:

- Declaration: I sit down and write out a clear statement claiming my new identity. I’ll describe, in detail, who this next-level version of Anna is. How do I speak? How do I lead? How do I serve? Even just writing this in my journal has helped me signal to my subconscious (and honestly, to the universe) that I mean business.

- Tangible Moves: Sometimes, I need to go beyond journaling. I’ve created new LLCs, revamped my branding, or even started fresh Instagram accounts as a way to energetically separate myself from old ways of being. Taking action, big or small, has anchored these changes in for me.

- Celebration: Most recently, I marked my own shift with a transformative photoshoot, blending aspects of my lineage and my unique gifts. Ritualizing my changes, whether through a photoshoot, an event, or simply sharing my evolution publicly, has made me feel more committed to my new path.

The Ripple Effect: How My Authenticity Attracts My People

Every time I show up as my whole, authentic self, my energy shifts. I begin to attract the right clients, collaborators, and opportunities naturally. I remember a moment during my Denver workshop when a community leader in the group realized she was holding back her true value, her wisdom as a teacher. When she made the decision to own her gifts, everything shifted, and her impact deepened.

Through these experiences, I’ve learned that the world doesn’t need more copycats. It needs me, fully expressed and aligned with my mission. My unique combination of skills, experiences, and energy can never truly be “competition” for anyone else.

Creating My Aligned Business (and Life)

For me, this journey is about so much more than leaving a 9-to-5 or reaching a revenue milestone. It’s about fulfilling a mission, a calling to serve, lead, and make a lasting impact. The process starts from within, with the courage to step into a new identity, let go of past stories, and embody the leader I’m becoming.
