126. Do These 3 Things When You are Doubting the Direction of Your Business

podcast Aug 26, 2025

Every entrepreneur hits those moments of doubt. Maybe it comes after getting feedback from someone in authority. Maybe it’s when you scroll social media and see another coach hitting milestones faster than you. Or maybe it’s late at night when you’re staring at your business wondering… Am I even on the right track?

I get it. I recently experienced it myself during the editing process of my upcoming book with Human Design Press. After pouring my heart, soul, and years of experience into this project, I got feedback that made me pause. For a moment, I questioned myself. I wondered if I was doing it “right.”

But here’s the truth: doubt is not a sign that you’re failing. Doubt is an invitation to pause, to realign, and to remember why you’re here.

Step 1: Go Back to Who You Are

When feedback, comparison, or uncertainty creeps in, your Human Design can be your compass. Look at your energy type, your profile, your incarnation cross. These core aspects of your design remind you of the role you’re here to play and the path that’s meant for you.

Not every strategy, model, or opinion is aligned for you. Going back to your design gives you permission to release the noise and anchor into what’s actually true.

Step 2: Define the Business You’re Building

So many entrepreneurs spin their wheels because they’re chasing someone else’s model. The truth is, the type of business you’re creating needs to be consciously chosen. Are you building a personal brand? A service-based agency? A company that operates without you at the center?

When you decide what kind of business you’re building, aligned to your mission, your purpose, and your desires, you’ll find it so much easier to stay confident in your direction.

Step 3: Notice Your Emotions

Doubt doesn’t just show up in your thoughts; it shows up in your body. Pay attention to your emotions and your Human Design signature themes. Are you feeling satisfied, successful, at peace, or are you in frustration, bitterness, anger, or disappointment?

Your emotions are signals. Sometimes they’re pointing to growth. Other times they’re showing you where something is out of alignment. Either way, they’re not there to stop you, they’re there to guide you.

Doubt Doesn’t Define You

Moments of doubt will always come. But when you root back into who you are, consciously define the business you’re building, and pay attention to what your body is telling you, you’ll find clarity again.

Your vision is too important to give up on. Remember: your business isn’t just about what you’re creating. It’s about who you’re becoming along the way.
