149. Delegating and Team with 4/6 Projector Laura Penner

podcast Nov 13, 2025

What if the next level of your business wasn’t about doing more, but allowing others to rise with you?

That’s exactly what this week’s episode of The Aligned Business Podcast is all about. Anna sits down with Laura Penner, a 4/6 Projector and the founder of Women Rise, a thriving community for women entrepreneurs in Boulder, Colorado. Laura’s story is a powerful reminder that your purpose often unfolds when you stop trying to control every step and start trusting collaboration, alignment, and support.

From Exclusion to Empowerment

Laura didn’t set out to build a movement, it happened naturally through following her intuition and her heart.

Growing up, she often felt left out, misunderstood, and excluded from groups of women. Those early wounds became the foundation of her life’s work: to create spaces where women feel like they belong.

What started as a small accountability group on Facebook quickly evolved into Women Rise, a vibrant community offering monthly networking events, coworking sessions, and sisterhood gatherings. But these aren’t your typical business meetups, Laura intentionally reimagined networking to feel warm, inclusive, and fun.

At Women Rise, women connect through music, movement, and meaningful conversation. As Laura puts it, “It’s not about finding your next client, it’s about finding your people.”

Leading as a Projector

As a 4/6 Projector in Human Design, Laura’s strength lies in guiding others, not grinding endlessly. But that wasn’t always how she worked.

Like many entrepreneurs, she pushed herself to do it all until her body (and her energy) said “enough.” Learning about her design changed everything. It gave her permission to delegate, build a team, and focus on the pieces that light her up.

She realized that bringing others into her vision didn’t dilute it, it amplified it.

The Power of Delegation and Trust

Laura’s journey shows that sustainable success isn’t built on independence; it’s built on interdependence.

By trusting her team, setting clear boundaries, and staying rooted in her mission, she’s created something bigger than herself, a movement that helps women lead, connect, and grow together.

And that’s the truth of aligned entrepreneurship: when you stop trying to carry it all, your vision finally has space to expand.

The Takeaway:
You don’t have to do it all to make a difference. When you lead with trust, collaboration, and authenticity, your business becomes a living reflection of who you are, and what’s possible when women rise together.
